URGENT MESSAGE FROM TCFAP: CORONAVIRUS
URGENT MESSAGE FROM TCFAP: CORONAVIRUS

Dear TCFAP Families,

We hope this message finds you and your family in good health. In an effort to address the concerns regarding potential spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in our communities we are putting into action our practice’s Pandemic Policies and Procedures.

Beginning Tuesday, March 17thall visits will be by appointment only, including Urgi-Kids visits. All families must call for an appointment. Each child’s condition will be assessed by our staff for appropriate treatment. Our clinical staff will ask very specific questions about your child’s illness. We ask that you describe your child’s symptoms as clearly as possible. This will allow us to determine whether a telemedicine or an in-office visit is appropriate. Our office hours are subject to change, so please call early in the day so that we may accommodate your needs.

Our Norwalk office will remain open for well visits! We are maintaining this office as a clean environment for annual physicals, allergy visits, behavioral health visits, concussion visits, lactation visits, nutrition visits, and travel visits. Our Darien office will be used to treat sick visits, including patients experiencing symptoms of fever and cough. We highly suggest that you go to our website and register with Anytime Pediatrics, our telemedicine partner. There is no fee to register and no requirement to purchase a telebag at this time. We encourage as many of our families as possible to utilize our telemedicine platform.

If we determine that an in-office visit is appropriate, we ask that you remain in your car and call the office to inform us of your arrival. Once your provider is ready to see you, our staff will call you, meet you at the office entrance and escort you directly to an exam room. There will be no check-in or check-out at the front desk to limit potential exposure.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement our Pandemic Policies and Procedures. We continue to receive updated information about coronavirus. Please visit our website and social media pages where we will communicate these updates and changes to you.

We thank you for entrusting your child’s care to us as we continue to provide the most comprehensive pediatric medical services. Remember to use basic infection control strategies such as social distancing and frequent hand washing. As always, we will remain available to address your concerns and worries during this difficult time.
