Allergy & Asthma

Allergy & Asthma

At The Center for Advanced Pediatrics, we have a comprehensive program to evaluate, educate, and create the appropriate management program for the patient with asthma and/or environmental allergies.

A one-hour initial asthma evaluation will determine if there are underlying signs of allergies, atopic conditions such as eczema, Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and asthma.

Your child will have a thorough family history, environmental history, and past medical history performed during this first visit.

Allergy testing is scheduled if it is determined necessary, then an asthma and/or allergy action plan is created when indicated.

A pulmonary function test is performed if the child is older than 5 years old, and patients and parents are taught to use asthma medications and devices, and peak flow meters.

TCFAP does not handle food allergies.
